Summary: The United States Automotive Materials Partnership (USAMP) is an industry partnership of Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors, whose mission is to identify and conduct or direct non-competitive research and development in automotive materials and materials processes. This article provides a summary of magnesium-focused work done on USAMP'S Magnesium Front End Research and Development project for two automotive body architectures, the design and build of a front end demo structure, and the progress made in several enabling technology knowledge base development tasks.
