•    Description: This article provides a review of the 5th International Conference on Extrusion and Benchmark (ICEB), held May 12-16, 2015, in Florence, Italy, which was jointly held for the first time with the 9th edition of the Aluminium Two Thousand Congress. ICEB merges the typical conference format (presentation of papers from academia and industry) with a benchmark session, where participants are asked to analyze a specific extrusion problem whose results are disclosed to participants only during the conference. The results of the benchmark are presented in this article.
