Summary: This article reviews the International Conference on Extrusion and 3rd Extrusion Benckmark (ICEB 2009) held in Dortmund, Germany, on September 16-17, 2009. The conference covers recent development in extrusion technology and their analysis through FEM codes. Papers presented at the extrusion conference are discussed and the results of the benchmark are given.
