The expansion of the company’s automotive sheet capacity includes the installation of a new Diamond coldrolling mill supplied by Danieli Frohling and Danieli Automation in cooperation with Innoval Technology at its rolling and extrusion facility in Duffel, Belgium. This article looks at the company's expansion work at Duffel and provides information on the new Diamond cold mill, a single stand 6-Hi mill specifically tailored for production of wide auto body sheet (WABS). The mill meets all of the criteria for production of WABS, including the ability to produce both standard mill finishes and electric discharge (EDT) finishes.
