Description: After nearly three years of construction work, the grand opening for the US$340 million Pindamonhangaba (Pinda) expansion project was held at the end of July 2013. The expansion was performed in response to increased flat rolled product demand, particularly for can body sheet, in South America and includes the installation of a new cold rolling mill, enlargement of the casting area with a new casting line, and work in other areas on the Pinda site.
