Spa, headquartered in Buttrio, Italy, precise butt shearing leads to improved profile quality and increased press productivity through the reduction of both the possibility of air entrapment and butt thickness. For awhile now, Breda has offered a butt shearing package on its presses. The company can also retrofit existing presses with a new package that includes: three compacting cylinders to push the die stack, the shear blade mounted on a pivot (swiveling blade) and V-type guideways designed to provide a large bearing surface.
