Description: This New Equipment Spotlight informs of the Chinese extruder, Conglin Aluminum Company in Zhuyonguan Town, Longkou, Shandong Province. The Conglin Aluminum Co. in Zhuyonguan Town boasts 18 extrusion presses. Conglin purchased an 8,000 ton Ube press in 2001and in 2002 installed a 10,00 ton, oil hydraulic, double-action extrusion press from X'ian Heavy Machinery Research Institute and Shangai Heavy Machine Factory. In May 2002, Conglin contracted to purchase a multi-chamber infrared die oven from Novatec of B.C., Canada. With the Novatec Oven Conglin could heat two dies per chamber to a temperature of 900 degrees F in just 4.75 hours. The infrared heating of the new Novatec oven makes for faster heating time, flexibility of die changeovers on the press, and a decrease in through-put time.
