• Description: The Ultra-Light Car Bodies (ULCAB) project was a collaborative project between industrial partners PAB Coventry (the lead partner), Impression Technologies, Lotus Cars, and Innoval Technology, with Imperial College as the academic partner and co-funding support from Innovate UK. This article summarizes the project work, which combined tailor welded blanks (TWB) with the hot form quench (HFQ®) process developed by Imperial College and commercialized by Impression Technologies.
